Friendsgiving is all about coming together, sharing a meal, and celebrating all that we’re thankful for—with a stylish twist! This year, we’re making it a Fancy Hat Friendsgiving. Whether it’s a top hat, a fascinator, or your own creative spin on “fancy,” come dressed to impress in your finest headgear! We’ll enjoy a potluck-style dinner, fun games, and a short devotion while showing off our fancy hats. You may even get a prize for your fanciness!

- 📅 Date: Wednesday, November 20, 2024
- ⏰ Time: 6:30-8:30 PM
- 📍 Location: Frisco Bible Church – Gym
- 👥 Who’s Invited: All 6th-8th graders!
What to Expect:
- 🍽️ Potluck Dinner (Small Group Style):
Each small group will decide together what they want to bring and share as a group. They’ll coordinate among students and families to create a well-rounded meal that everyone can enjoy.
The church will provide: Drinks, dinner rolls, plates, cups, and cutlery.
Leaders will work with their groups to plan out who’s bringing what and ensure everyone is involved! - 🎩 Games and a Devotion:
After dinner, we’ll enjoy some fun games and wrap up with a short devotion focused on gratitude.
What to Bring:
- 🎩 Fancy Hat: Don’t forget to wear your most stylish and creative hat! The fancier, the better.
- 🍲 Potluck Dish: Coordinate with your small group to bring a main dish, side, or dessert to share. Make sure to connect with your leader to know what your group is planning.
- 🥤 Drinks, rolls, and cutlery will be provided by the church.

What time should we arrive?
Please arrive at 6:30 PM so we can start dinner together!
What if I’m not a great cook?
No worries! Store-bought items are totally fine. Just bring something that fits with what your small group is planning.
Do I have to wear a fancy hat?
It’s not required, but it’s highly encouraged! The more creative, the better—let’s have fun with it!
Is there a cost for the event?
No, the event is free!
I’m new—can I still join?
Absolutely! We’d love for you to join us. Just let us know when you arrive so we can get you connected to your small group.
Will there be any prizes for the best fancy hat?
Yes! We’ll be giving out prizes for the most creative, funniest, and fanciest hats—so go all out and have fun with it!
How can I get involved with Student Ministry?
There are so many ways that you can help and we're always on the lookout for adult Jesus-lovers who can pour into students. You could run a game, fill in as a small-group sub, help plan or coordinate an event, teach a lesson on a Sunday, host, lead a small-group and so much more!
