Prepare Yourself for Conflict

Jan 30, 2022    Wayne Braudrick    Prepare Yourself

Joshua sends two spies to ascertain the situation in the key city-state in central Canaan, Jericho. The spies go secretly, likely for military reasons and to protect Israel from an unfavorable report as back at Kadesh. There, they meet Rahab, a harlot and thus a person of great gossip knowledge. Both Rahab and the spies show remarkable trust in God and in each other. This combination of faith and hesed reminds us of Ephesians 4 where the church prepares for conflict using the same tools.
