God Values Propriety

In Exodus 20:4–7, God calls us to worship Him alone, reminding us that idolatry is not limited to carved images but includes anything we value above our Creator. From money and success to relationships, revenge, and self, our misplaced priorities reveal how easily we turn away from true worship. Yet God’s jealousy flows from His perfect love, and through Jesus Christ, He extends hesed—His faithful, covenant love—inviting us to put away our idols and worship Him in Spirit and truth.
