Working Hard, Playing Hard, and Heading Home

Working Hard, Playing Hard, and Heading Home!

After a full week of teaching, connecting with students, and sharing the love of Jesus in Teplice, our team was ready for a change of scenery! We made our way to Prague for a day of exploring, sightseeing, and enjoying the beautiful history and culture of the Czech Republic. We have worked hard, and now it was time to play hard!
Prague did not disappoint! We enjoyed seeing the incredible Prague Castle, taking in the beautiful architecture, and walking across the famous Charles Bridge. Everywhere we turned, there was something new to see, another picture to take, or another memory to make together. It was a wonderful opportunity to experience more of this beautiful country and enjoy time together as a team outside the classroom.
As we walked the streets of Prague, we couldn't help but reflect on the incredible week God has given us. What began with excitement and a little nervousness on our first day of teaching has grown into meaningful conversations, shared laughter, new friendships, and countless opportunities to show these eighth-grade students that they are valued.
Our mission was about so much more than teaching English. It was about seeing each student as an individual created and loved by God. It was about listening, encouraging, building relationships, and looking for opportunities to let our words be “seasoned with salt.” Through conversations about travel, Texas, sports, health, food, and everyday life, we prayed that God's love would shine through us in ways that would leave a lasting impression.
We may never know the full impact of the time we spent with these students, but we trust that God was at work in every conversation, every smile, every question, and every moment of connection. Our prayer is that the seeds planted this week will continue to grow long after we have returned home.

Now, as we prepare to pack our bags and begin the journey back to Texas, our hearts are full. We are grateful for the opportunity to serve, for the students who welcomed us into their classrooms, for the people who made our time in Teplice so special, and for the friendships strengthened within our own team.
To everyone who prayed for us, encouraged us, and helped make this trip possible, thank you! You were part of this mission every step of the way. Your prayers and support helped send us to the Czech Republic to share the love of Jesus, one student and one conversation at a time.

As we head home, we carry more than photographs and souvenirs. We carry memories of incredible students, lessons learned, laughter shared, and reminders of God's faithfulness. We also carry a renewed desire to see people the way God sees them: each one uniquely created, deeply loved, and valuable to Him.

Our Czech Republic mission trip may be coming to an end, but God's work continues!
Trust and obey, for there is no other way! Thank you for following our journey, praying for our team, and being part of what God has done in the Czech Republic. We can't wait to share more stories with you when we get home!
