NY Mission Trip Day Three through Adam's Perspective

“His (God’s) love is an incomprehensibly vast, bottomless, shoreless sea before which we kneel in joyful silence…” AW Tozer

After the rain and excitement of Monday, we were greeted by a beautiful blue sky, sun, and amazing views of the trees and lake. We spent the morning working on splitting wood, cleaning bathrooms, and showing love to the youngest campers on site, same as Monday.

We had fun while working! Even our youngest family members- Luke and Jacob- worked heartily unto the Lord and had a joyful time carrying firewood and pushing the wheelbarrow!

After a morning of hard work, we enjoyed our midday Bible Hour lesson. Our speaker reminded us that God’s ways are higher than our own ways and that He is always at work, even when we don’t see it- and that His love is perfect.

“May the Lord direct your hearts to the love of God and to the steadfastness of Christ.”
2 Thessalonians 3:5 ESV

Our afternoon involved more work in the same areas, some family fun for the kids, and some amazing Mango sorbet- the perfect treat after a day of working hard in the heat- it got all the way up to 85 degrees!

Our evening session with the kids camp reminded us that God can be trusted because He is in control, He loves us, and that He will never leave us.

The biggest encouragement of this entire trip has been to see the passion and desire for the Lord exhibited by the staff members and campers at all of the Word of Life (WOL) Camps. How beautiful it is to see the generations praising the name of our Great God and lifting Him up high!

Thanks for supporting us and praying for us this week from home. Please pray for the WOL campers and staff as they continue their service and pursuit of God. Pray that many campers will come to faith in Jesus through camp and surrender their lives to His call.
