Dubai Teaching Day Two

Sunday, April 28- Dubai Leadership Conference Day Two
Today, we began our time singing and worshipping the Lord in Urdu which is the primary language in Pakistan. Then we began our lessons for the day with our panel board lesson as we discussed the Foundations of Biblical Roles from Genesis Chapter 1 and 2. Jeremy led the discussion with Denise and Jennifer sharing about God’s design for men and women.  Jennifer and Denise specially highlighted Biblical Womanhood within this lesson. We had a wonderful singing break as our speaker system related to a church service that was being led a few rooms down. The song being sung was about God’s Sovereignty and oh how this fit into all that we are discussing in the next several days. We broke for teatime after this lesson for a good time of fellowship and conversation. After our delightful teatime, we continued our next set of lessons. Our next lesson began with another panel discussion about Marriage and the Church focusing on Ephesians Chapter 5. Jeremy led this panel discussion with Denise and Jennifer sharing about God’s design within marriage and how this analogy. Our team set this foundation for a lesson tomorrow with church function and roles.   Afterwards, AJ begin his lessons on Church Governances, offices within the church such as Apostle, Elders and Deacons. When AJ finished his lesson, we all went down together for a wonderful lunch and many conversations regarding life, family, and all that we are learning through the leadership conference. Our team has really enjoyed getting to know about life and ministry in Pakistan. To be honest, we all face similar hardships, and this was encouraging for all of us to remember.  After lunch, Jeremy led a lesson on Pastoring with a focus on a healthy church. Several of our participants are pastors so this lesson was both encouraging and challenging. Our group was asked, how are you (those as current pastors) as a pastor doing in these areas? how is your (those who are not pastors) pastor doing ? There was a bit of good discussion and evaluation within the group. Our last lesson for the day was Expository Preaching that was taught by Martin. Martin reminded the leaders the three most important words with Expository Preaching: Bible, Bible, Bible!

We will take a pause for some pictures. Don't forget to scroll down for more sharing
After each day, our missionary Falak, debriefs with our leaders. We call this Processing Time during our conferences. This is such a crucial aspect of our leadership conferences that allows the leaders to discuss in their own language and process what was discussed during each of the lessons.  What a great reminder for each of us as believers, do we daily spend time processing with our amazing leader, our Heavenly Father God?
We could not leave this post without sharing a picture of some of our amazing snacks during teatime. Our hotel has been amazing and we've enjoyed all of the accommodations.

We are looking forward to tomorrow's lessons. Thank you all for praying especially for our FB team's health. Please continue to pray for health and strength. Our two team members that were absent yesterday were present today. We thank God for answering prayer. We are grateful for all those praying for us back home in the states.

Psalm 145:1-3 “I will extol You, my God, O King, and I will bless Your name forever and ever. Every day I will bless You, and I will praise Your name forever and ever. Great is the Lord and highly to be praised, and His greatness is unsearchable.”
