Dubai Teaching Day One

Dubai Leadership Conference Day One

Saturday, April 27th
We began our time together by singing a Pakistani Song from Psalm 92. Then Martin did Introductions of our Frisco Bible team and participants. Our team helped passed out their kindle tablets with curriculum for the next eight days. Normally in the past, we’ve use notebooks however those aren’t transportable, and you must print all of the pages.  This is a brand-new way of teaching for our team. Our Pakistani Leaders were beyond thrilled for this way of learning.  After we passed out our supplies, Martin did an Overview introduction and Definition of Ecclesiology that we will study for the next few days and then later in the week we will study Eschatology. Ecclesiology is the study of the church.  Questions was asked: What is the church?  What is required? Faith in Jesus. We then had a round table discussion about what is going on within the churches in Pakistan.  AJ began the second lesson as he spoke on the Purposes, Practices and Responsibilities of a healthy Church. He also spoke about Worship in the Church in his third lesson.
After an amazing lunch, we sang and worshipped together with another song, this time from Psalm 24. Then Jeremy spoke on the Sacraments of the church specifically through Baptism and Communion- The Lord’s Supper. We had a very lively discussion! Then Jeremy finished off our afternoon with a lesson on Authority and Governance.  Our absolute authority depends upon God and His Word.  We are continually reminded that we are saved by grace through faith and not by works. Praise God for this great reminder of our amazing Salvation!  Our group also discussed Church Discipline. All these topics discussed today were focused on healthy churches that are dependent upon the authority of God and His Word. The conference ended today with our missionary Falak debriefing and going over today's topics in Urdu for all the leaders. Overall, it was a great first day of teaching with some of our FB team out sick.

Psalm 92:1 “It is good to give thanks to the Lord and to sing praises to Your name, O Most High.”

Prayer Requests: Please pray for the health of our team. Two of our members were sick with a stomach virus. Please pray that it passes quickly and that the rest of our team stays healthy.

Thank you for the continued updates and pictures. It is great to see everyone together and engaged in learning more about the body of Christ! We are praying for all of you (teachers and students), especially for those not feeling well.
